A loan of $375 helped to buy a small bullock to fatten up and sell at a higher price.

Herminia's story

Herminia, 36, is a single mother living with her three children in her own house. For over 10 years now she’s been in agriculture. She owns a field where she grows potatoes, corn and pasturage for her animals. She works daily to assure a good harvest that will allow her to recoup her investment. She is always watching over her farmlands doing everything possible to avoid insect infestations that can seriously affect her investment. What she likes about her work is that she can set her own schedules and that she has food in reserve from previous harvests which is a big economic help. Her plan is to continue farming and to have a stable to raise cattle and sheep in.

This is her first loan with MFP. She is very happy to know that she has financial help and she also enjoys being part of her communal bank because all the members are responsible and mutually supportive people.

She thanks all those who will fund the loan she’s asking for because it will be very useful for her business’ progress. She will use the loan to buy a bullock to fatten up for later sale at a better price.
