Valeriana's story

Valeriana is a member of the Community Bank "Túpac Amaru", located in the Yunguyo district and province, in the Puno department. She is 58 years old, widowed and has 8 children who are all independent. She was only able to study through primary school and could not finish.

She has a booth in the market on August 15th in the city of Yunguyo, where she is going to offer various products such as: latches, locks, mirrors, brushes, and much more. She purchases these products from Tacna and Desaguadero (the border of Bolivia). She is starting to work with the recent Manuela Ramos Movement and is requesting a loan of 500.00 soles, that she will invest in her business. She will buy 4 boxes of locks, a quantity of 50.

Her dream is to improve her business. What she likes most about her Community Bank is the joy of the other members and the training lectures.
