Farzana's Group's story

Farzana has applied for a loan from Kiva partner Asasah to expand her beauty salon business. She is 37 years old and married to N. M., who is a security guard earning a low income. Farzana started a beauty salon business to financially support her husband. Now her business is well established and she has a good number of clients in her community. She lives with her family in a city Gujranwala which is located in Punjab Pakistan and famous for its rice industry. Her home is located in Kalar Abadi which is a small residential area of the city and contains 2 rooms. She is the mother of 4 sons and 2 daughters. All of them are enrolled in a local school and are getting their education except the youngest one who is only 3 years old.

Farzana started this business 11 years ago and she is confident that the loan investment will bring positive changes to her business. She will invest the loan in buying beauty products like facial creams, mascaras, eye shadows etc. She is a regular loan user of Asasah and this is her 5th loan application. In previous loan years, she has always attended every meeting and paid her installments on timely basis.
