Sop Naby Group's story

The Sop Naby solidarity group was created on December 30, 2009. It is composed of 18 women from the same neighborhood. They are unified and share the same main interest: developing their land. The group belongs to the Banc Villageois of Kelle N.. Mrs. Anta M., standing to the right in the photo, is the group’s leader. She is 37 years of age. She is married and the mother of three dependent children. She also has one of her nephews in her care. She raises chicken. She purchases chicken feed and baby chicks, feeding them for 40-50 days before reselling them locally, either live or plucked. Her credit [will] allow her to expand her business somewhat and to purchase a larger brood of chicks.
