La Ilucion Group's story

The Communal Bank “La Ilusión” (The Illusion) is starting its second loan cycle with eight members who live in the District of El Torno. All eight of these clients have established business activities. The group president is Sra. Regina. She is 27 years old and originally from the Department of Oruro Poopó Totoral, but she currently has been living in the Miraflores neighborhood of the town of El Torno for the past 19 years. Regina has been selling groceries out of her home for four years and also has a job teaching classes at the local school at night. The money from her loan will be used to buy groceries in bulk such as noodles, rice, sugar, and other items. Regina is single and does not have children at the moment, but she would like to have them some day.

Sra. Arnilda is the group secretary. She is 21 years old and lives in the area. Arnilda has been selling fish at the local market for seven years. She is in a common law marriage with Sr. Marco. For the past ten years, her husband has worked as a teacher in the District of El Torno. The money from her loan will be used to buy electric appliances for her home.
