Sop Serigne Fallou Group's story

The solidarity group Sop Serigne Fallou was created on December 3, 2009. It is composed of 36 women, all living in the same neighborhood and knowing each other because they are neighbors and friends. Most of them run small stores, or are active in agriculture or processing.

Mrs Fatou Abdou N., standing to the right in the picture and wearing a green dress, chairs the group. She is 23 years old, married and the mother of four children. In addition, she cares for her younger sister and her husband's niece. She breeds sheep. At the same time, she sells footwear and seasonal fruit. Her objective is to contribute to improved living conditions for her family, provide for her needs and save an appreciable amount of money.
