A loan of $300 helped to buy products: banana, milk and firewood.

Rosibel Estela's story

Rosibel, 26, lives in San Francisco Gotera, Morazán department. She is a single mother of two children; the oldest is 8 and the youngest is 3. Rosibel lives with her mother who taught her a skill so that she could fend for herself: making turnovers. She’s been in this business for 7 years now, Monday through Saturday.

She needs to buy products like bananas, milk and firewood which are the materials needed to make the turnovers. This situation necessitates her asking for a loan because she does not have the necessary money to make the purchase.

She expects to invest the funds from the granted loan well, to stay in business, have steady income, provide food for her children, and in the future have a house of her own and that her children study and prepare themselves so that they will have better opportunities.
