Makimbilio Group's story

Joséphine Ntabanyere is an entrepreneur and advisor of the business group Makimbilio. She is 60 years old, widowed, the mother of 12 children and grandmother of several grandsons. Her sons range in age from 22 to 45. They all have their own homes.
Joséphine Ntabanyere sells drinks (Primus, Fanta, and Aigle). She sells from her home. She was able to start her business with money received from her husband when they were young. Around 2010, she received a loan of $50 from IMF Hekima. She has been in business for 30 years. This new loan will help her to stock up on new products (5 cases of Primus, 3 cases of Fanta and 2 cases of Aigle). In addition, she aspires to grow her business and spend the rest of her life in peace with her sons, daughters and grandsons. Joséphine Ntabanyere Katungu thanks Hekima for their work dedicated to poor women who are excluded from the traditional banking system. The Makimbilio group is made up of 24 members. Two members were absent when the picture was taken.
