Mujeres Unidas Group's story

For the creation of this committee, Ms. Fulbia B. contacted her neighbors and friends and formed the committee. Ms. Fulbia is in the sewing business. She has had a small shop for several years, which has allowed her to build up faithful clientele and a steady income. Like all of the other micro-entrepreneurs, Mrs. B. looks forward to increase her income and to grow her business.

The committee is names "Mujeres Unidas" (United Women), and its going through its 2nd loan cycle. With 17 members, this is a group that highlights the neighborhood for the good treatment and solidarity they have amongst them. Each member of the group has a different activity of her own. The women are cashing Paraguay Guaranies (PYG) 500,000 to 700,000 towards the purchase of necessary products for each one of their businesses.
