A loan of $150 helped purchase two dozen lingerie garments, stockings, and children’s clothing.

Nicasia's story

Nicasia is a member of the Communal Bank “Inka Wasi” which is located in the District, Province, and Department of Puno. She is 55 years old, married, and has four children (two of whom are independent). Nicasia studied for her high school education.

She has worked with Manuela Ramos for four years. Her first loan was in the amount of 300 PEN. The money was invested in her business of selling clothes such as sweatshirts, sweaters, and other items.

With this loan of 400 PEN, Nicasia will buy two dozen lingerie garments, stockings, and children’s clothing. She works alone and her husband is employed as a teacher. Her dream is to have a large store where she offers all types of clothing. What she enjoys most about her Communal Bank are the meetings and the convenience of the loans.
