A loan of $1,200 helped to buy construction materials: siding, wood, nails, wire, and paint.

Mario Ricardo's story

Mario, 39, lives in San Buena Ventura, department of Usulután. He lives with his mother, siblings, and two children (ages 8 and 6 years old). He works as a teacher at the Mercedes Umaña education center, which is located near his home. He has been working there, Monday to Friday, for eight years.

He is currently planning to remodel his home by adding a bedroom and has requested a loan in order to do so. He will spend the loan on siding, wood, nails, wire, and paint. This investment will help both Mario and his family, since they will have a new room to provide more space, allowing the family to be more comfortable.

Mario intends to keep working to improve the conditions of his home and to provide his children with the necessities of health, nutrition, and education.
