Adama's story

Pictured here is Adama T.. The 39-year-old was born in a village call Mayoso, in northern Sierra Leone. Adama has six children. Her husband is a college registrar.

For many years now, Adama has been selling locally-produced food stuffs – rice, palm oil, groundnuts, etc. She is seeking a loan of SLL 5,000,000 from SMT/Kiva lenders in order to further expand her business. With this loan, she will buy the above-mentioned items at wholesale to add to her existing inventory.
