A loan of $550 helped purchase perfumes, crèmes, cosmetics and clothing.

Tatiana Elizabeth's story

In the city of Charapoto, the Communal Bank “Virgen De Monserrate” meets every fifteen days. This area is known for its traditional culture. In addition, the city is located a few minutes away from two of the best beaches in the province – San Jacinto and San Clemente.

It is here one can find Sra. Tatiana. She is 23 years old, married, and has a five year old daughter who just started her first year of school. Her husband works as a mason.

Tatiana is a housewife who earns her own income by selling clothes through a catalog. She also sells products made by Lebel and Sayson (brands of beauty products, cosmetics, perfumes, and women’s accessories). Tatiana works on the weekends, offering her products on credit and collecting payments each week. These products are shipped to her home and she acquires clothing at a distribution center. The products she sells most are perfumes and cosmetics. Tatiana has been in this business for one year and says that she has done very well.

This loan will be used to buy perfumes, crèmes, cosmetics, and clothing by catalog. Tatiana is in her third loan cycle with the Communal Bank and enjoys the fact the payments have been easy to make. Her dreams include having a larger business.
