A loan of $925 helped purchase more sacks of fertilizer.

Amelia's story

Rosa, of 36 years old, is a very sincere and simple woman. She lives in her own home with her husband, Olo, of 46 years old and their two lovely children, Yesenia of 13 and Jonatan of 5 years old. They wish to give them a better quality of life. Every day, Rosa gets up very early in the morning to go work on her fields. For her, there are no rest days since she needs to work continuously on her plot of land in order to maintain a good cultivation. Her main crops are: potatoes, corn, and peas, all of which she sells wholesale in the city of Tarma. What she likes most about her job is the liberty that she has on working on her cultivations. She has been doing this for over 13 years and believes that the most difficult part is keeping pests away from her plants. For the future, she wishes to purchase more land in order to be able to grow coffee. This is her 8th credit with MFP and she plans to be very punctual with her payments. She is greatly liked by the other members of her communal bank because she is a very happy person. With this loan of 2,500 soles, she will purchase more fertilizer in order to make her plot of land more productive.
