A loan of $2,925 helped a member to buy underwear for resale.

Flambeau Group's story

Louis is the coordinator of his group called "Flambeau" (Torch). He lives in the region of Haiti known as "Limonade" where electricity is rare and water is very limited. He has run his little business selling underwear for the past five years. He would like to use this loan to invest in more underwear for resale. He hopes that this loan will help him to open a big shop since he presently sells his clothing in the marketplace.

The other members of "Flambeau" need a loan for businesses such as selling cosmetics and charcoal.

Louis says his primary challenge is that he lacks repeat customers because people are out of work. His dream is to travel to Panama to buy more underwear at cheaper prices and in better quality.

In this group: Louis, Rosie, Ghislaine, Olette, Lucia, Suzanie, Irene, Junie, Lourdie, Madeleine
