A loan of $375 helped fertilizer.

Ana's story

Ana is 30 years old. She is a very simple, hardworking woman. She lives in her own house with her husband Angel, 37, and their 2 beloved daughters Caroline, 7, and Kelly,1, who are the main reason behind all their efforts. Ana works arduously on her farm to improve her crops and make her land more productive. Along with her oldest daughter, she works from very early in the morning planting potatoes and beans. She will then take her products to sell in the wholesale market in Tarma. The thing she likes most about her job is planting and watching her crops grow. She has been doing this for 15 years and she considers fumigating her land the most difficult since the chemicals that she uses to eliminate pests are very harmful to her health. In time, she hopes to buy more land and increase her production. This is her second loan with MFP. She was very punctual with the payments on her first loan and hopes to do the same again. She is a very cheerful member of her communal bank for which she is very dear to the rest of the members. With the one thousand nuevos soles [Peruvian currency] that she is requesting she will purchase fertilizer for her crops.
