A loan of $2,125 helped a member working capital.

Mujeres Unidas Group's story

Damasia A. C. is 36 years old and married. She did not have the opportunity to go to school. She has 5 children, 4 of whom attend school.

Damasia is in the handicraft business. She makes aprons and has 8 years experience. She started in the business on her own initiative and with a desire to improve herself. She has the support of her husband who is a salesman.

Damasia would like to increase her working capital so that she can produce more aprons. For this reaS., she gathered together 10 friends to form a group that could request a loan from ASDIR. Each of the group's members carries out their own business activities such as raising animals, embroidering blouses, making aprons, selling essential food products, selling iced treats and selling traditional clothes. They would all like to invest their loan money in increasing the working capital of their businesses. They would like to see their businesses grow and own their own business premises.
