A loan of $925 helped buy 2 bages of pea seeds.

Ernesto's story

Ernesto is a successful 42 year old man, who together with his wife Antonia takes care of his 5 children. They live in their own home, located in the village of Pongo. Their principal economic activity is farming. Ernesto has been farming for 20 years. His plantings consist of lettuce, potatoes and peas. The thing he likes most about his work is the togetherness of his family, since every morning his children and wife help him in the daily care of his crops. Now he is preparing himself for the agricultural campaign, where he will get more money for better quality products. The bulk buyers from the city of Tarma already know him for his honesty and hard work.

He is part of the village bank "Paraiso al progresso" and this is his third loan with MFP, where he commits to being responsible with the objectives of the group. Ernesto will soon harvest 10 sacks of "Yungay" variety potatoes, and so he is thinking of using this loan to buy 2 bags of pea seeds to spread over his farmland after the harvest.
