Ndef Leng Group

A loan of $5,000 helped a member develop her small business selling milk curd and food products.

Ndef Leng Group's story

The Ndef Leng solidarity group was created 3 May 1997 at the inauguration of the Sanghe Douka « Banc Villageois », to which it is affiliated. It consists of 13 women all from the same village. Most of them are relatives, which encourages and strengthens their solidarity.

Mrs. Seynabou S. (seen in the medaillion) is the group responsible. She is married and the mother of four children. She also has three other children placed under her care.

She has been selling milk curd and food products for over five years. Her objective is to participate in providing financial support to her family by providing food, buying school supplies for the children, taking care of medical expenses, etc.

In this group: Seynabou, Maimouna, Mbene, Ami, Astou Souleye, Rose, Rokhaya, Binta, Thiouba, Maty, Ami, Thiaba, Wolimata*
