A loan of $4,750 helped a member 3 cases of Primus, 2 cases of Fanta, 1 container of vegetable oil, 50 kilos of Omo, etc.

Utulivu Group's story

V. Kabuo is an entrepreneur and leader of the Utulivu business group. She is 47 years old, married and the mother of eight children. Her spouse is a teacher. V. retails beverages (Primus, Fanta), vegetable oil and Omo soap. She also is a tailor. She works from her home and sometimes in the street, in the evening during rush hour. She was granted a $50 loan from Hekima to start up the activity she has been running for four years. This new loan will enable her to resupply her merchandise (3 cases of Primus, 2 cases of Fanta, 1 container of oil, 50 kilos of Omo, etc.). Additionally she wishes to expand her business, see her children complete their education, and buy a plot of land for her family. As a customer V. thanks Hekima for its actions dedicated to empoverished people who have no access to basic banking services. The Utulivu group is made up of 24 members. It should be noted that two members were absent at the business group’s picture-taking session: they are U. Tumsifu et K. O. Kavira.

In this group: Kahindo, Kabuo, Kyavu, Nkuhirwa, Kabuo, Kasoki, Katungu, Kavira, Cigore Ndamso, Kahindo, Masika Munyere, Kavira, Somana, Masika, Tumsifu, Kabuo, Kavira Mangala, Masika, Kavira, Kahambu , Mawazo, Kahambu, Nafranga, Kahindo, Ntamegeri
