Sharapat's Group's story

Sharapat M., 52, is the leader of this group. She is the resident of Uzgen, an ancient town in the south of Kyrgyzstan near Osh. Unfortunately she is a widow. She has raised two daughters, both of whom work in the hospital. In order to earn money to meet her personal needs, Sharapat farms agricultural products. She earns 2000 soms per month by selling part of the harvest. She saves money but also needs an additional amount to purchase a piece of land to expand her farm.
