A loan of $650 helped purchase an ice chest & a variety of beverages.

Felicia's story

Sra. Felicia is a member of the Communal Bank “Mujeres Del 2000” (Women of 2000) which is located in the District of Calleria, Department of Ucayali. Her husband works as a security guard. They have three children, but only one lives at home.

Felicia has a business selling beverages in the mornings near a gas station that is located some distance away from her house. She is at her business almost every day, so she has little time to be with her son. This is part of the sacrifice required by her work so that she can provide for the welfare of her family.

This new loan of 1800 PEN will be invested in the purchase of an ice chest for keeping beverages cold, three cases of nectar, two cases of water, one case of guarana (a caffeinated beverage), one case of Pepsi Cola, two cases of Coca Cola, and one case of Inca Cola.

Sra. Felicia has worked in her business for eight years. It has enabled her to help her husband and cover the educational expenses of her son who is still under her care. She is grateful to Manuela Ramos for all the advice the loan officers have provided so that the members can improve each day and move their businesses forward.
