A loan of $225 helped to hire personnel to help her transplant coffee.

Bernardina's story

Bernardina, 36, is a cheerful woman. Her family is made up of her husband, Emerson, and their five minor children. They live in family harmony in their own house located in Unión Palomar (Peruvian central jungle).

Bernardina is a farmer; her main crops are coffee, banana and avocado. She’s been in this line of work for 12 years and what she enjoys the most is looking for the first ripe coffee beans at the beginning of the harvest. The dedication and love she provides her crops result in good quality products. Because of this her work is well known and coffee merchants in the city of Villa Rica seek her out constantly.

She is a member of the “Prestatarios de la Unión” (La Unión Borrowers) and this is her first loan with MFP where she is sure to get ahead. Bernardina has a nursery with 2000 coffee seedlings so she is asking for a loan to hire personnel to help her transplant coffee.
