Buena Vista Communal Bank: Mrs. Beatriz S. sells food, especially tamales. She also sells clothes, like blouses, and Brazilian gold. She has been a street vendor for the last 6 years. With help from her husband and children she has been getting ahead. As group leader she encourages her fellow members to continue fighting for their dreams. Mrs. Lidia Rebeca M. wants to continue fighting to support her family. Her dream is to have a larger bookstore where she can stock a variety of paper goods or school supplies. Mrs. Alida Violeta Hernández is a very hard working woman who sells ice cream but also sells tamales. Through her struggles she has managed to support her family and provide the basics for her children. The women are asking for a loan to buy food items for the store and to make tamales and to buy merchandise for the bookstore.
