A loan of $725 helped purchase animals to fatten.

Jesus Nolberto's story

Jesús is 31 years old, single and lives in the village of Santa Clara in the district of Pítipo, an agricultural area located an hour from the city of Chiclayo, the capital of the Lambayeque region. He has made a living for more than three years buying and selling animals. He raises them in an open field on land he owns, and when they reach a good level of development he offers them to business people in the region and eventually to his neighbors and others who live in the district. He uses the money he makes from this activity to make headway for his family. Jesús wishes to purchase animals to fatten and also buy balanced feed to improve the animals' development so they fetch a better price. For this, he is requesting a loan of 2,000 soles from Kiva partner Edpyme Alternativa. Jesús is a hard-working, active and rather responsible person who also works in agriculture. People who know him consider him to be calm and trustworthy.
