Fotunata Marcela
Fortunata is an enterprising 42 year old woman. Her daughter is preparing to go away to college and Fortunata is working arduously to pay for her transportation expenses and monthly academic fees. She hand crochets rugs, afghans, pillows, sweaters and hats. She has been working as an artisan and selling her wares for more than 20 years. Her mother taught her to crochet when she was very young. Fortunata is happy with this activity since she has a small number of foreign customers that she sends her crocheted items to and also, has a stable customer base where she lives.

She will use half of the loan to purchase materials (dyed wool and yarn) to start crocheting for pending orders and the other half to pay her daughter's enrollment fees. Fortunata would like to teach hand crocheting and sell a variety of crocheted wool items.
