Gloria Amelia's story

Gloria is 48 years old and has nine children. She sells coffee, cacao, and honey that are brought in from the city of Quillabamba in the Department of Cusco. Gloria has been in this business for 15 years and has done very well as a result of the effort she puts into her work. She needs a loan to buy honey. Gloria is grateful for the opportunity that has been provided and promises to complete her payments on schedule.


Gloria belongs to the Communal Bank “Inti” which is part of Asociación Araiwa in Cusco, Peru. (“Inti” is a Quechua word that means “Sun”.)
