A loan of $3,300 helped a member purchase thread, scissors, fabric, rulers, and other items.

Las Golondrinas Group's story

These members are part of the Communal Bank “Las Golondrinas” (The Swallows), which is located in the district, province, and department of Cusco.

One of the members is Sra. María. She is 76 years old, married, and has nine children. María has a sewing business in which she makes covers for blenders, microwaves, and other appliances. She also produces other types of handmaD. items such as pillowcases, bread baskets, pencil holders, and other items. María is a cheerful person who has tremendous desire to get ahead in her work so that she can support her family. In addition, her work serves as a distraction. For this reason, María is happy and wants to continue in the same manner.

The loan she is requesting will be used to buy more supplies for her business such as threads of every color, scissors, fabric, rulers, and other items.

The other members engage in the tourism industry. Some manage travel agencies and camping supply stores. One member has a vehicle for offering tours while another member has a business selling cosmetics.

The members are happy with this loan and promise to complete their payments.
