Salome's story

Salome W. is a single lady. She has two children, aged ten and two years old. Salome owns a clothes stall at the busy Adams Arcade market in Nairobi. She sells baby's clothes only. She has been in this business for five years now and has managed to provide employment to two people. She says that this business is profitable.

The only major challenge she has is financial constraints. However, she works very hard from early morning to late evening to keep her business doing well. She is using her loan of 60,000 KES to increase her stock of baby clothes to grow her business and meet the demands of her customers.

In the future, she hopes to be able to import baby clothes from abroad to sell. She also hopes to give her children quality education to the university level. She describes herself as a very responsible lady.
