A loan of $200 helped to buy fertilizer.

Mariela's story

Marilu is 31 years old. She lives with her husband and their children in her own home. Since her childhood she has done agricultural work. Now, she has become a source of income for her family as she now cares for the land that her parents left her, and the other land she holds together with her husband; they are both farmers and hard workers. She plants potatoes, corn, and onions among others. These are the products that she harvests and commercializes in different parts of the city to the small businesses. During recent years she has seen that the business is very profitable and beneficial and so now she wants to continue moving ahead with this work. This is her third loan with MFP. She is very happy to know that she has financial support and she has always demonstrated that she is responsible in her payments. Also, she is grateful to be part of the community bank because all of the members are responsible and very supportive people. She thanks the people who will fund the loan that she is asking for and that will be very useful in the profess of her business. With the loan she is asking for, she will invest in the purchase of bags of fertilizer for the next growing season.
