A loan of $375 helped to purchase yoghurt in bulk to resell.

Ana's story

Ana is 41 years old and a hardworking and understanding woman. She lives with her husband Eduardo and her four children in Playa Hermosa, San Ramón, in the central Peruvian jungle. This hardworking woman sells cheese in the central market of San Ramón. A regular vendor, her customers wait anxiously for her arrival at the end of every month because they know how delicious her cheeses are. Ana also travels constantly from market to market to sell the various items of clothing that she acquires in the capital at a very low price. Due to the success that she has experienced with the sale of her cheese she would now like to enter the market with more dairy products since these are in high demand in the jungle.

Ana is an active and responsible member of the community bank “Los Claveles” (The Carnations) and this is her second loan with MFP. Ana would like to use her loan to purchase dairy products such as yoghurt. She plans to purchase a variety of yoghurts in different flavours to resell.
