Carine's story

arine is 30 years old. She has been very active working as a hairdresser and beautician since 2004, after leaving her job at the airport where she used to cook meals for national flights. Her business is know as “IPCA hairstyling,” located on a busy avenue and very popular with young women who let their hair to be styled in fashionable braids. Her guiding principles are professionalism in her work, respect and friendly welcome offered to her clients and the use of high-quality products. From Monday to Saturdays, her sales approximate 15000 West African Franc. During festivities, such as weddings, christenings, end of the year holidays and other religious holidays, her sales go up to 75,000 per day. A single mother with two children in her care, she works hard to provide them with a good education. With her second loan, she would like to open a beauty salon and become a nationally known beautician.
