A loan of $1,100 helped purchase groceries.

Libertad's story

Libertad is a member of the Mujeres Solidarias village bank in Calleria, in the department of Ucayali. She is 65 years old and married.
Libertad has a well-stocked grocery store because she's invested all the loans she's taken out in recent years in building her business.
She will use this loan of 3000 nuevos soles to buy groceries such as 3 boxes of milk, 1 box of butter, 2 sacks of rice, 2 sacks of sugar, 2 bags of spaghetti, 2 bags of soup noodles, 1 bag of flour, 1 box of oil, 5 packs of toilet paper, 1 box of salt, 2 boxes of cookies, 2 bags of candy, 1 bag of toffee, etc.
Despite her age, Libertad wants to keep working and stay active, since it makes her feel healthier.

She tell us that "...thanks to Manuela Ramos her business has been improving every day."
