Saumu is a married woman with three children, all of whom attend school. She lives at a rental house that has neither electricity nor piped water. Her greatest monthly expense is school fees.
She has operated a tailoring business for the past eight years, operating from home. Her potential customers are neighbors. Saumu faces a major challenge of delayed payments by those who purchase goods on credit. She hopes to expand in the future.
With the 20,000 Kenyan shillings, she wants to purchase cloth materials for tailoring. She decided to join Yehu to access funds.
