Esmeralda's story

Esmeralda R. is 52 years old and widowed with five adult children. She is from the village of Brgy. Bonfal West, Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya. To make a living, Esmeralda owns and operates a tailoring business. Her primary source of income comes from providing specialty tailoring services to local community members. Esmeralda has been engaged in her business for over 15 years and earns approximately 6,000 PHP a month.

Esmeralda joined ASKI in 2011 to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and ability to engage in business activities. She is requesting a loan of 10,000 PHP to purchase additional fabrics and materials. This will be her first loan from ASKI. Esmeralda plans to use the additional revenue generated from her loan to improve and expand her business.
