Concepcion's story

Concepcion M. is from the village of Brgy. Quezon, Solano, Nueva Vizcaya. She is 43 years old. Concepcion is separated from her spouse and has an infant. To make a living, Concepcion runs a general store. The main source of income for the business comes from selling daily-use products such as shampoo, soap and toothpaste in the local community. Concepcion has been engaged in her business for over three years and earns approximately 3,000 Philippines pesos (PHP) a month from it.

In 2011, Concepcion joined ASKI to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and ability to engage in business activities. Concepcion is requesting a new loan of 7,000 PHP, which will be used to purchase additional products to sell. This will be the first loan taken out by Concepcion from ASKI.
