Nida's story

Nida B. is from the village of Deboloc, Plaridel, Misamis Occidental. She is 36 years old, separated from her spouse and has 2 school-aged children. Nida owns and operates a specialized retail store, selling daily use products such as canned goods, noodles, sugar, milk, coffee, shampoo, soap and toothpaste in the local community. Nida has been engaged in her business for over 5 years and earns approximately 4,000 PHP a month from it.

In 2011, Nida joined GDMPC to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and ability to engage in business activities. Nida is requesting a new loan of 35,000 PHP which will be used to purchase additional products to sell. This will be the first loan taken out by Nida from GDMPC. She plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to supplement the family's income.
