Esther's story

Esther is 57 years old and lives with her daughter in a house that she owns. She has been selling food at an educational center for more than four years. So, every morning she is busy preparing the foods that will be distributed to the teachers and students, who are her main customers that eat the dishes. She generally ends work at 3pm, but sometimes finishes at 5pm in order to assure that she receives more income. She always enjoys her work because she likes to cook and is active in supporting her daughter’s university education. She says that the business is profitable and wants to have a restaurant in the future. This is her sixth loan with MFP and she is very happy to know that she has financial support, as she has always proven to be responsible with her payments. She is also pleased to be part of the communal bank because all of the members are responsible and very supportive people. She is grateful for all those who will fund the loan she is requesting because it will be very useful for her business’ progress. With the loan requested, she will invest in the purchase of some products like rice, sugar, and stews.
