Santa María Group's story

The Santa María group is made up of five hard working, enterprising women. One of them is Mrs. Corina M., who is 78. For 30 years, she has had her own business which she started by making tortillas. Later, when her son gave her a refrigerator, she began to sell soft drinks, ice cream, ice and curds.

With her loan, she will buy corn, firewood, curd and beans for her business. The other members of the group are Elisa Antonia M. Salazar, who sells nacatamales, used clothing, and does sewing. Judith N. sells disks, Maira V. López sells clothes and food, and Miurel, who is 24 years old, has sold Avon products for three years.
