Rosa Lidia's story

Rosa Lidia A. is 68 years old and she lives with her husband in San Salvador. They live in a house belonging to a nephew. She is an older person but she has the will to improve, which is why she has decided to set up a food stall near the university in El Salvador. She gets help by her life partner to make the breakfast and lunch foods that are sold to the students at the university. It is hard work but it is the only source of income for their household and it is the way they are able to provide for all of their needs. This loan will be used to purchase ingredients such as rice, beans, corn, some vegetables, soft drinks, and snacks. They will also carry out some improvements to their small stand. It is made of aluminum sheeting and they want to expand the stall as their earnings grow.
