Maria Margarita

Mexico
COPAINALÁ, CHIAPAS, Mexico / Grocery Store

A loan of $425 helped to buy merchandise to stock her grocery store.

Maria Margarita's story

Margarita G. Gutiérrez lives in Julián Grajales neighborhood, in the town of Copainala, in the State of Chiapas, Mexico. She is married to Audon Santos Santos and all her children are already married. Margarita and her husband have one grandchild in their care: 6 year-old Royer Santos Estrada.

Margarita will invest her loan in buying merchandise to stock her grocery store. She has been in this business for a few years and it is doing well. She has made good income for her household.

It was Margarita's daughter-in-law who encouraged her to start out in this business since it is good work and she told Margarita that she would make good income for her family through this business. Margarita says that, thanks to God, her business is doing well.

Margarita uses the profits that she makes in her business to buy more merchandise when it runs out such as sugar, oil, cookies, etc. In this way, she expands this business that has supported her so well.

Margarita's wish is for her business to grow day by day so that she can save in order to support herself in the future.
