Lidia's story

Lidia is a strong woman. She is 48 years old and became a widow four months ago. In order to not feel sad and alone, she works hard to help her two children who are the driving force in her life. She takes care of them and protects them in her own house located in the village of Patay. The days are still difficult but she still continues to work like she has for 20 years. Now she works only to maintain her crops in the best way. Her main fields hold potatoes, peas, corn and beans. What Lidia likes most is the tranquility of the countryside. For this reason, she continues working hard, since this this is the only ally she has in these hard times. Now she has sown the potatoes which are growing adequately. She says they are now starting to bloom. In three months, she will harvest them and sell them in the city of Tarma’s wholesale market. Her future plans are to improve her crops and give her family economic stability. She belongs to the “Los picaflores de Patay” communal bank and this is the fourth credit with MFP. She is a responsible and hard-working member. Soon, Lidia will plant peas. For this reason, she is requesting a loan. She will buy bags of organic fertilizer in order to have good results with the harvest.
