A loan of $1,100 helped purchase a cement mixing machine.

Abraham's story

Abraham is 60 years old and lives alone in his own home. He separated with his wife a number of years ago and his five children are already grown up and working. This enterprising man makes a living in construction. Since he was a young man he learned from watching his relatives who worked in the trade. Currently he has a construction company, and although he lacks a few permits he manages with three other workers. He oversees them since he is the master builder. He really enjoys his work and says it is heartwarming to see the big jobs completed with good results. It's for this reason he has various clients who recommend him, and he doesn't lack for work since he is always starting or completing construction. For the future, he plans on purchasing a pickup truck so that his workers can move around without problems. This is his fifth loan with Kiva partner MFP, and he promises to make his payments on time since he doesn't want to be in bad standing with the people who made this support possible and so that he can continue working in search of progress. Abraham plans to invest the loan in the purchase of a cement mixing machine since it is an instrument he is missing in order to finish his jobs more quickly, and he calculates that he will earn better profits.
