Miryam's story

Doña Miryam A. is a woman of 55 years of age, married and the mother of twelve children. She lives in the locality of Nueva Virginia de Siquirres de Limón. She has always been dedicated to her family and now she counts on the support of a son for the tailoring service that she offers. She began her business ten years ago. She sees in her community a way to grow her income, since hers is the only tailor shop that there is. For this reason she requests financing from Fundación Mujer to cover the demands of her clients. She will invest her loan in the purchase of commodities such as fabrics, threads, laces, and zippers, among others. Her dream is to have a dressmaking workshop that is large and well equipped. Toward this goal she continues growing little by little and improving the quality of life for her and her family. At present she faces the obstacle of a lack of working capital for the purchase of commodities. For that reason she seeks financing from Fundación Mujer to grow her business.
