A loan of $925 helped to buy quality liqueurs.

Rosa's story

Rosa is 45 years old and separated from her husband. She lives in her own home with two of her five children. The three oldest children live independently. This hard-working mother started selling softdrinks at the beach during the summer seasons and over an 18-year period was able to establish a liquor store in her house, which has also become a grocery store. What bothers her most is when her customers don't pay on time. Her business is very important to her so she treats her customers well to ensure her store's sustainability. She hopes to be able to expand her store and add a new space for quality liqueurs. This is the 8th loan through MFP and as a senior member she is committed to paying it back on time. The communal bank is very well respected because of how responsible she is. She plans to use the loan to buy quality liqueurs for her customers.
