This is her 33rd loan with Fundación Mario Santo Domingo. She will use the funds to purchase inflatable balloons, decorative eyes, and merchandise on order such as sportswear. Since starting her business, Nelly has made many positive changes in her life such as becoming independent and getting out of debt. Her earnings are designated for maintaining her household, which consists of her two children (ages 19 and 20) and her husband. Nelly joined FMSD by taking entrepreneurship courses that helped strengthen her initial business of selling cold meats. She later participated in sewing courses in which she gained a taste for art, especially making decorations, which has become a hobby as well as a source of income. Her dream is to become well-known as a local decorator and position herself in several markets so that she can increase her sales.
