Rolando's story

Rolando H. is from the village of Samonte. He is 36 years old. Rolando is married and has an infant. To make a living, Rolando raises crops. The main source of income for the business comes from planting and harvesting rice for sale. Rolando has been engaged in his business for over 15 years and earns approximately 9,000 Philippines pesos (PHP) a month from it.

In 2010, Rolando joined ASKI to gain access to financial services to help improve his living situation and ability to engage in business activities. Rolando is requesting a new loan of 27,000 PHP, which will be used to purchase fertilizers such as manure. This will be the first loan taken out by Rolando from ASKI. He plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to save as a reserve for future emergencies.
