Jeonel's story

Jeonel L. is from the village of Quiling. He is 38 years old. Jeonel is married and has two school-aged children.

Jeonel owns and operates a business raising crops, with the main source of income coming primarily from planting and harvesting rice for sale. He has been engaged in his business for over 23 years and earns approximately 7000 Philippine pesos (PHP) a month.

In 2010, Jeonel joined ASKI to gain access to financial services to help improve his living situation and his ability to engage in business activities. He is requesting a new loan of 24000 PHP which will be used to purchase fertilizer such as manure. This loan will be his 1st loan from ASKI. He plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to pay the tuition fees of his children.
