Patrick K. is 29 years old and lives in the town of Kamuli in the Jinja region of Uganda. He is single and has no children. Patrick has a retail shop business, which he has run for ten years.
To help expand his business, Patrick has requested a loan of 1,500,000 UGX from Kiva partner, BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to purchase sugar and soap for resale. With the help of his loan from BRAC, Patrick hopes to generate greater profits and buy food. In the future, he hopes to expand his rentals business further.
