A loan of $725 helped to buy magazines and booklets for her newspaper kiosk.

Aida's story

52 year-old Aída lives with her husband and daughter in her own home. For 5 years she has been selling newspapers from her kiosk which is located on the outskirts of the market, in a very busy avenue in her district.

Very early in the mornings, Aída can be found here diligently checking all the newspapers and their respective supplements. She sells her newspapers calmly throughout the day. When she closes at night, she counts what she hasn't managed to sell and adds up what she has sold in order to work out her profits. She also deposits the money for the papers she has sold. This is how this hard-working mother covers her daughter's higher education expenses. Her daughter helps her out with her sales at weekends. Aída's biggest wish is for her daughter to become a good professional.

This is Aída's 11th loan with MFP and she knows that this loan will be very useful to her in keeping her business running. For this reason, she pledges to make her repayments on time. Aída will invest the money she receives in buying entertainment magazines as well as craft booklets about jewelry making, knitting and embroidery.
